1. Introduction

Hunting Gear LLC values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and delete information when you use our Android apps, including weather/hunting utilities and device-finder apps such as Find My Hearing Aids.

We do not create user accounts. You can use the apps without signing up.

2. Information We Collect

What we access depends on the app:

• On your device only (finder apps): Bluetooth scan results, device names advertised by nearby BLE devices, and signal strength. Used to help you locate a nearby device. This data stays on your phone. We do not upload it to our servers.
• Location: Only if you grant permission. Weather apps use it to fetch wind and weather. Finder apps may use location permission on older Android versions because Android requires it for Bluetooth scanning; we do not use that location to map or store your position on our servers.
• Device information: Model and OS version, if included in a crash report.
• App usage / crash reports: Only if a crash reporter is enabled in that app build. We do not serve ads.

Purchases (if you unlock a paid feature) are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.

3. Use of Data

• Provide the feature you opened the app for (weather, or finding a nearby Bluetooth device)
• Keep the app stable (crash diagnosis)

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for marketing. We do not use it for ads.

4. Third-Party Services

Weather and wind apps may send a location query to:

• WorldWeatherOnline
• Tomorrow.io

That location is sent to fulfill the weather request. Finder apps do not use those weather APIs.

Google Play processes in-app purchases under Google’s policies.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

6. Data Security

We apply industry-standard security practices. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

This section describes how long information is kept and how you can delete it.

• No account. There is no Hunting Gear account to delete. Clearing the app or uninstalling is the deletion method.
• Finder / Bluetooth data. Scan results and any last-seen values exist only in the app’s local storage on your phone. We do not retain them on our servers. They are kept only while the app is installed. You delete them by clearing the app’s storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling the app. After uninstall, we have nothing left to keep.
• Weather location queries. Sent to the weather provider to complete that request and not stored on our servers. Those providers keep data under their own policies (links in section 4).
• Crash reports (if any): kept up to 90 days, then deleted, except where we must keep a record to fix a serious stability issue.
• Purchase records: held by Google Play, not on our servers. Google’s retention rules apply.
• Email you send us (support / deletion request): kept as long as needed to answer you, then deleted within 30 days unless we must keep it for legal or fraud reasons.

To request deletion of anything we might have from an email you sent: mark@tophuntinggear.com. We will complete that request within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

• Disable Bluetooth, Nearby devices, or location in system Settings
• Clear app storage or uninstall to delete on-device data
• Email mark@tophuntinggear.com for a deletion request

9. Updates

This policy may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
